Xbox has new upcoming releases that will have gamers all around. The top expected games to be released this 2013 offer a diverse set of genres such as Third Person Action, 1st Person Shooter and the like. Here are some of the top Xbox games to watch out for soon:

Grand Theft Auto V

This third person action game has been a very successful franchise for Rockstar Games for years. Now in its fifth installment, this next chapter of GTA is set in Los Santos City and its surroundings such as beaches, hills and the countryside. 

The GTA franchise has always pushed for newer and wilder ideas for open-world freedom and story-telling. This new game explores its mission-based game play in a portrayal of modern-day Southern California in the struggle to make money, money and more money that only GTA can capture. It is set to be released on September 17, 2013.

Metro: Last Night

Set in the year 2034, in the tunnels of the Metro in post-apocalyptic Moscow, the remaining survivors of the human race face grave dangers from the outside world, as well as within. This first person shooter published by Deep Silver lets you play the character of Artyom, the last hope for the divided and struggling humans against the Mutants on the surface. This exciting game is set to be released on May 14, 2013.

Remember Me

In another futuristic setting of Neo-Paris in the year 2084, Capcom will release this action-packed game that screams Inception and other mind-boggling memory and mind movies. 

You play the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to sneak into peoples minds and steal or even change their memories. In the setting, personal memories can already be digitized, bought, sold or traded. Since your character has the said abilities, Nilin had been captured by authorities and had wiped her memories clean. 

Now, your mission is to recover your identity and right the wrongs of the surveillance society—the people who created the problem in the first place. This game will be released on June 4, 2013.

Star Trek: The Game

Coming this month, the setting is followed by J.J. Abrams’ 2009 rendition of the classic series. The Star Trek video game offers an amazing journey in stellar graphics across different planets and rival battleships with 23rd century weapons all too familiar in a Trekky’s universe. The franchise boasts of a lot of action-filled combat that focuses on Captain Kirk and Spock’s adventures to stop an alien enemy race from conquering the galaxy. Gamers will have the chance to play as Kirk and Spock in a co-op experience not yet done before that will challenge them to make strategic choices in playing the game. It is already coming this April 23, 2013.

Lost Planet III

This 3rd installment of the Lost Planet franchise introduces Jim, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III working for NEVEC. The series, with its knack for creating harsh environments, boasts of a diverse range of game play such as on-foot battles and action-packed first person shooting. It is set to be released on June 25, 2013.

Defiance

This MMO shooter is set in a different kind of Earth many decades into the future. 

The chosen place is the San Francisco Bay Area after a massive event altered the landscape. This catastrophe led to the fall of plants and animals and the breeding of new species. Also, alien species arrived on Earth to make a new home. All this leads to war and destruction. 

This one hits shelves the earliest on April 2, 2013 for PS3.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

Brought in by the geniuses of NetherRealm Studios (the people who created Mortal Kombat), this fighting game uses a unique fusion of game play and characters. Instead of using characters from mythology, this game uses DC Heroes such as Superman, Batman, The Flash and many others. 

The environments are versatile, with destroyable elements all around. The characters themselves have their own signature moves. If you ever loved fighting games such as Mortal Kombat, you should play this one. It will be available for PS3 on April 16, 2013.

Dead Island Riptide

This is a first person survival game for those who want a point of view more realistic than others. Dead Island Riptide offers quite a unique adventure. Like zombie apocalypse themed games then and now, you have to survive the hoard of undead coming your way! 

The game retains the characters that survived the apocalypse and escaped from “Banoi” from the previous game and now have to face the undead once again. You can play this game starting April 26, 2013 for PS3.

Dark

You play as the vampire named Eric Bane in this third person RPG game called Dark. This game was developed by the braniacs from Realmforge Studios and published by the popular group Kalypso Media. Expect a lot of exciting action and stealth from this scintillating game coming to you very soon this year.

Ninja Gaiden III: Razor’s Edge

This game has already been available for the Wii, but this is a debut on the PS3 and the box 360 for Razor’s Edge. This game is an enhanced version of Ninja Gainden III, which includes all the downloadable content from its original game. In this version, you take on the role again of Ryu Hayabusa. The plot continues after the events that ended Ninja Gaiden II, so that is good for continuity. It’s coming out soon! Release date is on April 5, 2013 for PS3.
